*yawn*
Oooooo I haven't touched blogging in months! Nothing much to do these days. Go lectures, walk home, do coursework, surf internet. Look at timetable, imagine going to those classes the next day, repeat. At least I can look forward to Wednesday afternoons to go shooting with my gang.....lotsa arrows to shoot.
One thing about being the equipment officer in the archery club, is that I have the right to be angry, grumpy and fire anyone who shoots arrows into walls (except those who are experienced or the rest of the committee). Just last Sunday, some new guy shot a good arrow into some random wall.... It takes a load to fix just one depending on which part is damaged/broken.
But one thing I know is that when I get back home, I will shoot in my backyard. Oh what fun and exercise.
Currently my statistics of my bow is a 68 inch tall bow, with a tension of 30 pounds, which is around 13.6kg. (Tension being the amount of force needed to pull the bow)It has a long rod stabiliser which is about 1 kg. Thus my left hand must be quite strong to hold it over a short period of time.
Hopefully the sight of me playing archery in my backyard will deter some certain 'thieves'.BUSA (British Universities Sports Association) Indoor Archery Competition is this Saturday. It is a competition where all the unis in the UK meet and compete in whatever sport is being competed in. Everything paid for by the uni, but it will be in the University of Exeter (a looong drive down. roughly 2-3 hours ish). Mmm first time in a national competition. On another note...it's been awhile since I last went home..it should be around 1.5 years by now. Arrrggh I wanna go home and mainly eat some food...as well as finish some other business. Oh food! *drool* I guess I have to keep my sanity here a bit longer.
Pop quiz: Why are 'ready-to-eat' roast chickens in the supermarkets like Tesco etc, so dry?
