A Miracle!!! oh...it was just a fluke

A few days ago, on Monday, I bought several new accessories for my bow. Of course, a few items were not for me, but three other people asked me to buy something for them.

During the BUSA competition, I realised that several pieces of equipment needed to be replaced. At first, I thought those carbon arrows were one of the factors, but alas an experienced archer named William told me that carbon arrows do not bend. Hence I do not have to replace them. Thus I needed to replace my sight, arrow rest and get a new item known as a klicker.

First of all, my sight used to be a caplang aka 'lousy beginner sight' known as the Cartel Junior Sight. After several years using it, I discovered it isnt a really good sight, as due to the vibration of the bow when an arrow is released, the sight pin would either slide down the rule or the measurements on the rule would be slightly screwed up.

Then I got this sight: Cartel K-sight, resonable price. One thing, good about this sight is that it has many screws, allowing you to secure the measurement point on the rule.

After that I proceeded to replace my long-overdue arrow rest. Previously, my bow was utilizing a Cartel Super Rest. But in the end, it broke easily.

Then the club ran out of arrow rest, but after all my desperate rummaging, I found a Cartel metal rest ( metal arrow rest/flipper ) as a temporary substitute. I used it for about a month, before realising that the metal rest wasn't that good as it has been used and had several complications. Eg: It tends to let my arrow drop down after been shot.

So hence I changed it to a Hoyt Super rest, a similar plastic version to Cartel Super Rest, but it is more durable and lasts longer.

So I installed the sight and arrow rest on the bow and went for the weekly Wednesday Archery session up in the Sports Centre. The first three arrows I shot were amazing! 2 of them struck the bullseye concecutively while the last one struck the outer bullseye. The best score I ever got! 2 10s and 1 9! But after that, the arrows were hitting the reds and outer yellows.

Those who don't know: a lil education. From the first white circle onwards: each circle are counted from 1 - 10 points. 10 points obviously being the the inner golden/yellow circle. The innermost circle is the bullseye though.

After several tweaking to the new equipment, the arrows were finally hitting 8 points and 9 points. (inner red and outer yellow). However, I needed to adjust my nocking points on my string as the arrow rest isnt aligned 90 degrees to the string. That however is the last tweaking I need to configure on my bow, other than learning how to shoot with a klicker. Unfortunately, the tools needed to adjust my nocking point is with R.

A note on the klicker. The klicker basically improves the consistency of the draw length of the arrow. When the arrow is drawn to its constant length, the klicker will give a small 'klick sound', to indicate the draw length is suitable. Hence this consistency would improve my accuracy and pose.
