About a few weeks ago, I went to the Notts Uni down in Semenyih. It was a complicated and long drive (in the night only).Most probably cos in the night, there are no proper lightings which show signs to the important turnings.
Overall, its a huge campus, not as huge as the one in Notts but maybe huge anyway. I went to look at the buildings, where they claimed are the exact copies to the ones in Notts, but somehow their 'Trent building' got distorted and mixed with a bit of Portland. So both copies of 'Portland' and 'Trent' got mixtures of each other.
Some interesting stuff that should be implemented would be to rename the UNiM Christian Fellowship into Malaysian Solid Rockers (MSR). Would be nice/cool too hehe considering there is a Solid Rock in Notts. (Spread the SRs!!)
Since Nottingham is famous because of the exagerrated (however you spell it) Robin Hood, UNiM should have an archery club! prolly named NUMAC (Notts Uni Malaysia Archery Club), since in Notts Uni, they have NUAC ( Notts Uni Archery Club ).
Its true that NUAC isnt that great (i hope my members dont see this) due to low attendance and low commitment, but it'll still be a great idea to do a NUMAC. Yeah well, the cost is kinda high due to archery being an expensive sport and UNiM is kinda small at this point of time.
If only they had a Manufacturing Engineering Department there (or at least start one), then I would gladly do it up. But who these days would want to do archery...its just standing and shooting at a target (and hoping ppl would watch you and you get to look cool for awhile). Not much adrenalin in it unlike football, basketball, etc etc all those ball games where competition and strategy makes things look nicer and exciting. Sigh... if only....
